About Marvellous Minds Tuition Centre in Bedford
We tutor children from 5 to 18 years old, covering English, Maths and Science. We also specialise in Homeschooling, 11+ Tuition, and alternative provision for children who need support outside of mainstream education.
Our classes are based on the National Curriculum and for our 11+ entrance course we follow the entrance requirements for private, grammar and state selective schools.

At Marvellous Minds, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to enjoy their education and meet their learning goals. Our values have all been created to help us create a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn.
At Marvellous Minds we believe in small class sizes that allow students to receive tailored one-to-one support whilst still enjoying the benefits of interacting with other students. In our experience many students feel lost in a large classroom environment. This is often the case both for struggling learners and those who are whizzing through school due to the lack of appropriate support.
Our teaching staff are selected based on their experience, knowledge of chosen teaching subject and passion for teaching. All of our staff are fully vetted and undergo a rigorous training programme to ensure they are able to best deliver the Marvellous Minds model of learning.
We want to provide the highest possible educational support to the families we work with at affordable prices.
We believe that feedback is crucial, as such our tutors are on hand to give feedback to parents on their child's progress after every lesson and we also encourage regular parent meetings.
We do not use computers in our classes. The teaching material we use is built in-house by our team of tutors and educational specialists, and the emphasis is on the interaction between the teacher and student.

Who We Are
Marvellous Minds Tuition Centre got its start in Bedford in 2019. We decided to do things a bit differently at Marvellous Minds by creating a space which fosters learning in a fun and safe environment where children from 5 to 18 years old can feel supported and develop a love of learning.
We keep our classes small to enable us to provide highly individualised learning experiences whilst still providing a social environment where children can learn from each other. We recognise that children all learn differently and therefore create an environment where they can explore education outside of a traditional classroom.
Marvellous Minds favours screen-free learning! None of our classes use computers and all of our teaching materials are built in-house by our team of tutors and educational specialists. The focus is and will always be on the interaction between a teacher and student.
We believe our innovative approach gives children a bright and positive experience of learning as we encourage both exploration and discovery as well as emotional intelligence and building friendships. Our hope is that our students are able to grow in confidence alongside reaching their educational goals.

Besides her teaching qualifications and a degree in French and German from Oxford University, Marion has qualifications in Specific Learning Difficulties. She took these so she could support her son and the many students she was teaching at the time who had learning difficulties.
Marion has completed been certified teaching Dyslexic Students in Higher Education Distinction, from London Metropolitan University, a Postgraduate Diploma Assessment for Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia), Distinction, Assessment Practising Certificate with British Dyslexia Association. This allows her to carry out full diagnostic assessments. She has also completed her PGCE Secondary. Marion regularly updates her skills and knowledge by doing courses with Communicate-Ed and PATOSS.
Marion also likes to do exciting travel. This has included cycling solo round Normandy and the Loire when she was eighteen years old.

Lorena is a fully qualified secondary school science teacher specialising in Biology who has been tutoring students from KS3 to A-level for the last 4 years.

As well as having QTS, she is also undertaking an extended teaching qualification to stay well-informed on the most recent educational research and methodologies – she uses this knowledge to help students study smarter instead of harder. Lorena studied Biomedical Science at the University of Surrey, where she organised events and competed with the debate team.
Originally from Romania, Lorena is bilingual and has worked closely with students who have needed more help overcoming a language barrier to access GCSE content. She is passionate about pushing students to unlock their full potential, regardless of their background or perceived ability.
